Scout Taylor-Compton Biography

Born in Long Beach, California as Desariee Starr Compton, Scout began her career in short films as early as 1998. Her first big screen movie was alongside Alexa Vega in 2004's SLEEPOVER. She's continued to do many small parts in television, in addition to tech work such as being a part of the ADR loop group for 2005's SKY HIGH. Before finally catching the attention of director Rob Zombie and being cast in the fan-favorite role of Laurie Strode in the revamped HALLOWEEN series, starting in 2007, Scout could have been nicknamed the "Could Been" actress, having lost the lead role in THE MESSENGERS to Kristen Stewart, the lead role in the revamped PROM NIGHT to Brittany Snow and the role of Jenna in the revamped FRIDAY THE 13th to Danielle Panabaker. Now a favorite in the horror genre division of filmmaking, Taylor-Compton will also be portraying a young Lita Ford in the upcoming 2010 bio-pic THE RUNAWAYS.
