Born Leighton Marissa Claire Meester in a Florida prison while her mother and father were serving time for running a marijuana farm, Leighton started her career in small roles on television shows before progressing to independent movies including the 2007 horror flick Drive Thru. She's continued with a variety of other flicks in that genre, including The Haunting of Sorority Row and Killer Movie. In 2007, Meester jumped started her television career with a more high profile role on the CW's "Gossip Girl." In 2008, Leighton was recognized as one of Hollywood's top 100 most beautiful people in Hollywood according to People magazine and listed as the #48 Hottie on Maxim's 2008 Hot List. Fluent in French, Leighton is also planning on releasing an electric pop album sometime in 2010.
