Born in New York City to a painter father and a writer mother, Sobieski was discovered by a casting director while eating lunch in her school cafeteria when she was 13 years old. Well known for bearing a resemblance to a young Helen Hunt, the two actresses have never shared any screen credits together. In 2009, Leelee became a mother to a daughter with speculated husband Adam Kimmel, a fashion designer. (It is unclear if the pair married in May of 2009 or just became engaged.) Leelee's acting credits run almost every genre, including roles in NEVER BEEN KISSED, THE GLASS HOUSE, the 2006 remake of THE WICKER MAN and most recently a small role in 2009's PUBLIC ENEMIES.
