Katie Cassidy Biography

Katie Cassidy is the daughter of famous television teen heartthrob of the 1970's, David Cassidy and model Sherry Williams. Raised mainly by her mother and step-father, Katie grew up in Los Angeles, attending Calabasas High School and studying gymnastics, piano, singing, dancing and guitar. Cassidy appeared in a couple of television shows as a teen, including "7th Heaven." In 2006, right before she was going to head off to study at NYU, she got cast in the low budget horror film, THE LOST and later in the remake of WHEN A STRANGER CALLS. Between appearing in other campy horror flicks, like the remake of BLACK CHRISTMAS and the more series reboot of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, Katie developed a loyal fan base through appearing on the short-term television series, "Harper's Island" in 2009. Katie has remade her father's famous song, "I Think I Love You," as well as being the inspiration for Jesse McCartney's song, "Tell Her." She has considered the cancellation of the potential 2007 remake of REVENGE OF THE NERDS to be her biggest personal disappointment in her career thus far.
