Danes is best remembered for her earliest acting years, mainly from the early-canceled series, "My So-Called Life," which debuted in 1994 when Claire was only 15. She followed that up with roles in the 1994 remake of LITTLE WOMEN and was widely embraced for her role as Juliet in the Baz Luhrmann version of ROMEO + JULIET. More recently Danes has won awards for her role as the autistic scholar Temple Grandin in the cable movie "Temple Grandin." Has been known for her personal life which includes dating actor Matt Damon in 1996 and later, more famously, being the other woman that Billy Crudup left his very pregnant girlfriend, Mary Louise Parker, for in 2004. Claire wed actor Hugh Dancy in 2009 in a private ceremony. Had been considered for many memorable roles that later went to other actresses, including the lead in TITANIC.
