Camilla Belle Biography

Camilla Belle was born an only child to fashion designer Cristina Routh and construction company owner, Jack Routh. Raised in Los Angeles, California under a strict Catholic household, Belle attended all-girls school, Marlborough School. She began her acting career at age 5 when she was cast in the television movie, "Trapped Beneath the Earth." When she was 7, Camilla made her big screen debut in A LITTLE PRINCESS but was more recognizable a couple years later as the little girl who is attacked by the small dinosaurs at the beginning of THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK. She continued her acting career with small roles until she was cast as Daniel Day Lewis' daughter in THE BALLAD OF JACK AND ROSE. Belle has had a series of small but spotlighted roles in everything from the remake of WHEN A STRANGER CALLS to the big budget box office flop, 10,000 B.C. Well known in the younger generation's circles as being the girlfriend at one point to Robert Pattinson and later Joe Jonas, Belle has a featured role in the 2010 film, FATHER OF INVENTION.
